Role Summary:

Based at Cinemark's Technology and Operations (TOP) facility in Frisco, TX, this hands-on management role oversees the daily operations of our in-house Digital Testing team. The Manager is responsible for testing, qualifying, and characterizing new equipment and software for deployment across Cinemark's global Digital Cinema booths.

This role serves as the final escalation point for complex technical issues and collaborates closely with TOP leadership to ensure our theatres are equipped with the most optimized and high-performing presentation technologies.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Digital Cinema or a closely related field, is highly proficient with technology and system-level solutions, and can effectively evaluate and communicate the technical and business implications of vendor offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on testing, evaluation, and documentation of equipment for domestic and international deployment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align Cinemark's requirements with vendor capabilities.
• Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers and industry partners.
• Guide suppliers through product development to meet Cinemark's standards.
• Manage, train, and develop assigned technical staff.
• Develop and maintain testing processes and documentation.
• Present findings and product demos to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process and product optimization.
• Support resolution of complex field issues in collaboration with Tier-3 and QA teams.

Requirements:

• Strong background in Cinema, Pro/Venue, or Display industries; networking experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 5-10 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with AI analytics is a plus.
• Strong analytical and business acumen.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site; this is not a remote position.
• Passion for learning and applying new technologies.
• Experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
• Comfortable using lab equipment (e.g., voltmeters, oscilloscopes, light/sound meters).
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied temperature environments.
• Proven dependability, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Multilingual fluency (especially Portuguese or Spanish) is a plus.
• Prior experience managing small to mid-sized teams (2-5+ years).
