Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse Occupational Healthworks in conjunction with Human Resources on any matters dealing with associate health. In addition to assisting employees when health issues arise, this person will play a large role in the wellness initiative within the hospital to ensure we are doing our best on preventing any health issues. This position will ensure that the facility is in compliance with the State of Texas, DHH, ADA and Joint Commission as related to employee health issues.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a team player leading Human Resource practices and objectives that will provide a high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

• Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of applicants, candidates, and Associates and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of the assigned job duties.
• Monitors and provides all employee health nursing services for the region
• Ensures all associates meet requirements for the initial health assessment.
• Assists in the transition back to work of those who have been out due to health reasons.
• Serves as the manager of all medical issues related to Worker’s Compensation.
• Oversees and assures compliance of the random drug screen program.
• Administers annual TB skin test and responsible for annual TB mask fittings for associates.
• Responsible for overseeing the annual biometric screening program for Healthy Habits.
• Responsible for ensuring the facility is in compliance with DHH and Joint Commission policies as pertaining to Employee Health.
• Responsible for working with associates who need accommodations in compliance with ADA standards.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • LPN License in state of employment or compact
  • BLS
