Live on the Coast

As the state of Virginia’s largest city (and growing faster than ever), Virginia Beach is a thriving metropolitan area that has still managed to maintain its smalltown feel. The region boasts 87 public school systems with some of the state’s best education ratings, 66 very elite private schools, and at least 72 nearby universities, colleges and technical institutes.

Our family-friendly beach resort is one of the cleanest and most affordable in the nation, with special events year-round. And outdoor enthusiasts will love our 140 public parks (most of them pet friendly), including First Landing State Park where the pilgrims first set foot on Virginia soil.

Additionally, Virginia Beach is a short drive to such popular destinations as “America’s Historic Triangle” (Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown), Busch Gardens and Water Country USA – and is home to North America’s largest military seaport, making it one of the safest and most patriotic American cities in which to live.
