Pediatric Specialists is seeking a compassionate, board-eligible or board-certified pediatrician to join our outstanding team.

For more than 70 years, Pediatric Specialists has delivered the highest standard of pediatric care in the Hampton Roads area. With four locations across Norfolk and Chesapeake, the Pediatric Specialists team consists of 13 board-certified pediatricians who strive to promote health, healing, and hope for all children. An award-winning practice under the umbrella of Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, Pediatric Specialists was named "Best Pediatric Practice" by Coastal Virginia Magazine readers in 2022 and 2023!

This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on work-life balance and excellent patient care. At Pediatric Specialists you’ll enjoy:

  • On-call nurse triage system available 365 days a year 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate pediatric care in an outpatient clinic setting 
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions in children 
  • Build strong connections with patients and families, fostering a supportive environment 
  • Participate in rotating on-call duties as needed 
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including subspecialists, nursing staff, and on-call triage 
  • Ensure patient care is aligned with best practices and medical guidelines 
  • Engage in continuing medical education and professional development 

Qualifications

  • Board-eligible or board-certified in pediatrics (if board-eligible, certification must be obtained within 2 years of residency completion) 
  • Must possess a valid Virginia medical license 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care 
  • Excellent rapport with children and families
