Technical Project Lead

Overview

The New Facilities IT Build Project Lead is responsible for coordinating all IT efforts related to building new distribution and food production facilities. Areas of scope include network infrastructure, enterprise systems, technology assets, and more. Core responsibilities include project planning and coordination, procurement, technology asset implementation, and hand off to our day 2 support system. This role will also support the management of new facility requirements in partnership with our business partners, PMO, and our IT Team Members. Success in this role means new facilities and their technology are delivered timely, within budget, and with a high level of care demonstrated throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee project plans, critical milestones, and budgets
  • Provide timely updates and risk escalations to critical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identity and document device requirements for upcoming facilities
  • Manage procurement, onsite deployment, and commissioning of critical end user devices and IT infrastructure
  • Provide device support for user acceptance testing activities
  • Coordinate and document low-voltage requirements across business partners, construction vendors, and our Network Team
  • Coordinate systems testing activities across our system owners, QA, and business partners
  • Conduct after action reviews post facility go-lives to collect feedback and lessons learned to apply to future facilities
  • Continuously improve the playbook and approach for IT asset and infrastructure deployment for new facilities
  • Understand from a high level the end to end technology stack supporting our operations
  • Provide coordination across vendors involved with launching new facilities
  • Provide onsite support for both systems testing and operational go-lives
  • Facilitate transition of new facilities to our Day 2 operations support Team


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant technology project/program management experience
  • Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player, yet able to work independently when necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management, financial management, supplier management, and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to run multiple projects in various stages, simultaneously
  • Broad range of technology experience and expertise
  • Demonstrated experience with technology requirements gathering and management
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously run multiple projects in various stages
  • Excellent at establishing, building, and maintaining meaningful relationships with both business and technology partners
  • Ability to perform effective short-term and long-range planning
  • Strong desire for driving continuous improvement of process, standards, and policies


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or other industrial businesses
  • Experience with interacting with General Contractors and other construction trades
  • Understanding of system integrations and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience working with mobile device management software
  • Enterprise networking knowledge
  • Enterprise systems knowledge
  • Procurement experience
  • Experience leading and interacting with managed services
  • Comfortable using hand tools
