The Sr. Lead Safety Advisor, Product Safety is responsible for providing Product and People Safety leadership and consultation for Chick-fil-A branded product items working collaboratively with Legal - Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing and Brand Strategy. This role would liaison with process owners of these departments to evaluate and advise on People Safety risks within product categories such as Kids Meal Premiums, Plush, E-Commerce/Retail, NEXT, Team Member Appreciation, Evergreen, CFA Support Center Store, Pennycake, and Future of Play, Marketing events etc.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, the Sr. Lead Safety Product Advisor is responsible for being a liaison between various departments who own the product development and implementation for growing Chick-fil-A branded products distributed through Restaurant and retail Channels to integrate People Safety requirements. These departments include, but are not limited to, Enterprise Risk Management, Legal-Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing and Brand Strategy. This role works collaboratively to:

  • Evaluate consumer and distributed product designs from an enterprise risk and People Safety lens from concept to production phase.
  • Review product content for people safety requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments at conceptual phase to identify potential hazards associated with products and provide input as needed until production phase.
  • Input provider during workflow development for product recall process, and responder during actual recalls.
  • Input provider to Supply Chain owned safety manual.
  • Provide guidance on labeling and documentation to comply with CFA product and people safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party labs to verify safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on various projects, such as reviewing content for seasonal projects such as Evergreen, Restaurant events/family play, Market Acceleration Program (MAPs) to assess larger people and brand risk implications.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess advanced knowledge of Consumer Products Safety Commission standards.
  • Skilled in risk trend assessments with the ability to identify challenges, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact cooperatively, collaboratively, and cross functionally with others across Chick-fil-A, Inc.
  • Ability to lead and influence others
  • Ability to perform comprehensive safety evaluations and consult to findings
  • Strong collaboration, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills that produces influence for change
  • Self-starter, nimble and responsive to issues or problems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with product safety assessments and e-commerce
  • Certified Product Safety Professionals™ (CPSP)
  • Product Safety Leadership Certification
