Overview

The Senior Design Lead for Restaurant Design Application & Training plays a crucial role in the Design Integration team, overseeing the enhancement and maintenance of the design catalog and providing training to stakeholders in Restaurant Development and across the organization regarding the use of the catalog and any new or updated design initiatives.

With a focus on gathering constant feedback from end users, this role also assumes some design leadership responsibilities for both internal and external partners, ensuring the continued development and improvement of the restaurant design catalog. Strategic efforts are required to clarify the purpose and functionality of the catalog, aiming to create a user-friendly resource that supports stakeholders and end-users within Restaurant Development and beyond.

Collaboration with various internal partners throughout the organization is essential for developing a comprehensive training strategy for new or updated design solutions. Close collaboration with stakeholders within Restaurant Design is necessary to fully convey the design intent behind introduced design projects and ensure that a training strategy is appropriate for end users.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing strategic direction of the design catalog including managing content and continually improving the user experience.
  • Foster collaboration and connections across the Chick-fil-A organization, proactively engaging with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness of the design catalog.
  • Identify, lead, and develop design partners, vendors, and agencies to support ongoing catalog enhancements.
  • Assist in developing training programs to help prepare, communicate, and educate key groups and departments across the organization on procedures, standards and guidelines related to any new and/or updated design initiatives to establish one voice across the business.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and Integration Readiness teams to gain insights into upcoming design initiatives, enabling the development of effective training practices and best practices.
  • Provide direction to a team or teams of external partners for continued design catalog support.

  • Develop and manage comprehensive documentation of tools for design catalog management.
  • Assist in developing and leading training opportunities to educate teams throughout Chick-fil-A on use of the tools.
  • Cultivate and build design and business acumen across the business for a better understanding of both design principles and broader business strategies.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, industrial design, or similar.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in building design.
  • Proven track record of success in managing projects, initiatives, and vendor partners.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in building design.
  • Restaurant design experience.
  • Experience in creating building design catalogs.
  • Experience in creating training on design procedures and standards.
