Overview
The Restaurant Financial Data and Systems team provides Operators and those who serve them with tools, reports and systems that equip Restaurants for profitable growth. We do this by building robust data infrastructure, maximizing the effectiveness of our systems portfolio, and offering users relevant and timely insights about their businesses.
Senior Analysts on the Restaurant Benchmarking and Costing (RB&C) team are responsible for working with Restaurant Operators, external vendors, Financial Consultants, and other cross-functional staff teams. Additionally, Senior Analysts own front-end system and data operations, both proactive and responsive analyses that generate insights and inform recommendations, the development of innovative solutions to end users' challenges, organizing and executing project details, and collaborating with others.

The individual in this role will be responsible for the operational execution of the Restaurant Financial Systems and the development and maintenance of the infrastructure needed to analyze and diagnose issues and opportunities. A successful individual in this role ensures critical data is relevant and accurate, analyzing multiple data sets leveraging SQL/Alteryx/Tableau/Excel to generate insights and collaborates closely with the Technical Product Owners in implementing business requirements for various products. He or she will serve as a subject matter expert for 1-2 products.
The work will require strong understanding of the business to apply clear judgement, critical thinking and decision making with little to no oversight. A growth and improvement mindset is critical to leading work in the transition from legacy systems to newer systems and processes. This role requires a highly accountable person, who loves to execute and research very detail-oriented assignments.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert and designated point of contact for escalation of broad issues pertaining to the system functionality, solving issues independently
- Partner with key stakeholders to understand and execute critical business objectives as part of overall vision and roadmap
- Ensure several business processes are accurately completed, own the timely load of data to data warehouses, own the dissemination of systems changes to internal and external stakeholders, and own data calculations for accurate and timely reporting to serve CFA Staff and Operators
- Scope, prioritize, plan, and roll out projects including system and data enhancements
- Recommend roadmap items within the portfolio vision and collaborate with technology and business partners to pursue future system and data infrastructure needs
- Coordinate vendors and IT teams to document, develop, test and support solutions
- Coordinate with internal team and DTT to own and manage recurring business and system processes, stewarding the resulting reports and data for Restaurant and staff usage
- Serve as the designated point of contact for IT; responsible for partnering with IT to resolve system and reporting issues as they arise
- Perform data analysis and solve complex reporting problems independently
- Review and analyze data to generate insights and make recommendations about the tools and systems that consume it, as well as communicate & present findings
- Align on goals across multiple business functions, recommending and executing on solutions that are beneficial to all stakeholders.
- Communicate project benefits, progress, and updates to a variety of audiences via written, visual, and verbal presentations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Analytics, Accounting, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, MIS or a relevant field
- Attention to details with the ability to see the larger picture, high sense of responsibility and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving experience paired with verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal relational skills and demonstrated ability to work independently with others effectively in teams
- Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Proficiency with SQL and data transformation tools such as Alteryx and/or DBT
- Experience in data modeling and automation at scale
- Strong systems-thinking mindset, able to understand intricate details and how they relate to each other in the broader scope of a system
- Well-organized self-starter who sees needs and proactively completes tasks to meet business needs, exhibits a personal desire for excellence, eagerness to learn and requires minimal supervision
- Servant spirit with strong sense of stewardship
- Ability to own and manage multiple and varying processes and/or projects while being able to appropriately prioritize work
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities, we prefer the following qualities in a successful person in this role:
- Master's degree
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience leading process change initiatives and/or systems implementations
- Experience managing data infrastructure and business systems across separate business entities
- Chick-fil-A Restaurant experience or experience in the restaurant industry
- Tableau Data Analyst Certification
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Expertise in SQL, Alteryx, DBT and Databricks
- Expertise in Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or another data visualization tool
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
- Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodology
- Experience with managerial accounting or financial modeling
