Sourcing Specialist, Support Center Warehouse

Overview

This role will be responsible for inventory item master data maintenance, item life cycle management maintaining partner supplier performance and sourcing all sellable inventory in Chick-fil-A's Support Center Warehouse (SCW). The Chick-fil-A SCW distributes over 1,600 items through the following channels: CFA Restaurants- marketing, administrative, training and catering items; Direct to Consumer- merchandise through e-commerce; Campus Shop- merchandise sellable to campus visitors/staff. Developing and maintaining relationships with internal project stakeholders is essential. The Sourcing Specialist should have extensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.

The warehouse operates in a 60,000 sqft, temperature-controlled space on Chick-fil-A's Support Center Campus in Atlanta, GA. This role requires an on-site presence of 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase and manage the inventory levels for 1,600+ items, including placing POs, verifying/updating item pricing
  • Daily review of inventory position by utilizing reports to build projections and maintain safety stock
  • Extensive ERP and WMS system experience (Oracle ERP and Manhattan WMS preferred)
  • Effective and timely communication with supply partners
  • Work closely with the SCW operation, CFA Marketing, Back Stage Tour Shop, international supply of marketing, admin, training, and catering items, Training and Supply Chain to ensure inventoried items are available and relevant
  • Manage supplier lead times and delivery performance
  • Meets daily with Receiving & Inventory Staff to communicate inbound Purchase Order status or receiving exceptions, utilizing a shared platform to update PO statuses as they progress
  • Review back-order position regularly, creating a plan to quickly rectify, if back orders occur
  • Working in the facility 5 days a week, with daily presence on the warehouse floor
  • Works diligently, requiring very limited supervision
  • Partner with CFA AR & AP to ensure supply partner's information is set up/maintained and address any invoice discrepancies
  • Work with internal teams to set up items, oversee the item life cycle and item disposition or transfer to ReD/Custom distributors
  • Assist in reporting metrics to the overall warehouse performance
  • Support and communicate with several CFA internal teams to complete chain wide roll outs and initiatives
  • Demonstrate established knowledge of item procurement and inventory management
  • Document daily tasks in standard operating procedures


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Industrial Management focus
  • 3-5 years of e-commerce sourcing supporting a distribution center experience
  • Extensive experience in ERP & WMS systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years ecommerce sourcing with some leadership experience
  • Experience in Oracle Cloud and Manhattan Active Warehouse Management
  • APIC, Certified Purchasing Professional
