Overview
The Principal Development Lead, Nontraditional Restaurants is responsible for leading and representing the work to support existing Nontraditional Restaurants, a body of work that is growing in volume and complexity. In additional to driving contractual brand requirements and Development & Construction expectations with Licensing Food Service Partners (LFSP), the role works to implement (LFSP) reinvestment obligations, to include brand/capacity reinvestments and roll-outs of equipment and technology to ensure Partner brand standards are met for food safety, food quality, capacity, brand image standards, and overall customer experience.
The role is also responsible for coordinating and expediting the design, development and construction process for new and existing Chick-fil-A Licensed Satellite locations. This includes locations in Universities, Airports, Hospitals and Business/Industry. This role works closely with Chick-fil-A Real Estate and Operations and leads outside professionals and vendors to complete remodel projects.

Responsibilities
- Work and influence across the regions and the organization to implement business strategy within their role.
- Work closely with Chick-fil-A Real Estate, Design, and Operations Chick-fil-A staff to provide input and direction during the activation, design, development, and pre-construction phase of each project.
- Manage relationships with Licensed Food Service Providers. Lead location level leaders and Food Service Provider Leadership teams in the approval process in Licensed Captive Venue Remodels.
- Manage / lead outsource partners, architects, and location level leaders in conducting site surveys and due diligence on Licensed Captive Venue Remodels.
- Collaborate with Construction to value engineer site plans and to develop project cost estimates to aid in decision making when appropriate.
- Approve and execute contracts and purchase orders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Qualify and approve project related invoices.
- Lead department wide program work above and beyond regional work that impacts all.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Construction, or related field of study
- 8+ years of related professional experience
- History of demonstrated leadership and related achievements
- Ability to schedule individual and multiple projects
- Ability to communicate clear expectations and achieve quality and scheduling objectives
- Proficiency in reading and understanding architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical documents
- Ability to communicate in technical terms
- Self motivated to constantly and continuously improve
Preferred Qualifications
- Light commercial construction experience (restaurant experience preferred)
- National or regional multi-development experience
- Experience dealing with franchisees
