Power, Automation & Controls (PAC) Operator

Overview

The Power Automation and Controls Operator will be part of a technical organization under the Controls Engineer. Their tasks will range from operating the equipment, basic troubleshooting and business leading training. All in an effort to operate industrial equipment with excellence in a Distribution Warehouse. These individuals will be working with state-of-the-art industrial equipment and will be working with a diverse team to help deliver automation processes to the highest standards. Chick-fil-A Supply is also committing to providing the following to PAC Operators:

Lastly, this individual will be joining the Chick-fil-A Supply LLC. family with the goals of being able to provide a caring, consistent, and reliable service through its distribution networks helping support Chick-fil-A restaurants and their communities.

As wholly owned subsidiaries of Chick-fil-A, Inc., Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods are food production and distribution services networks focused entirely on serving the unique needs and growing volume of Chick-fil-A restaurants.

The Chick-fil-A Supply service networks are comprised of two components:
  • Distribution Center - State-of-the-art warehouses that house supply for Chick-fil-A restaurants

Transportation - Growing fleet of delivery vehicles that supply Chick-fil-A restaurants

Responsibilities

Business Requirements

o Low Voltage Training and Qualification

o Autonomous Maintenance Capabilities:

§ CILs (Clean, Inspect and Lubrication)

§ IO checks for alignment, debris, obstruction, cleanliness

§ Schedule Safety device operation checks

§ Centerline checks

o Controls

§ On the job training with introduction to PLC's and HMIs

§ On the job introductory training to ladder logic

o Loss Elimination Tasks:

§ Identifying defects

§ Identifying and reporting equipment inefficiencies

§ Documenting RCAs, Fishbone

o Equipment Tasks:

§ Clearing jams

§ Reworking scrap

§ Reworking Rejects

§ Removing Scrap

§ Confirming Quality Product

§ Reloading/Reworking Material

§ Operate typical MHE equipment (Fork, Clamp, Riders, scissor lifts, fall protection)

Customer Relations

o Willing to work rotating shifts

o Able to display skills in warehouse automation processes, including operating, maintaining and cleaning automated equipment

o Maintaining accurate records and data

o Develop strong technical, interpersonal and analytical skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Capable of learning in a dynamic, complex environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast pace environment.
  • Wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
  • Willing to work rotating shifts
  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend
  • Enter confined spaces
  • Stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time.
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Adept with Microsoft Software


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with a Warehouse Management System, ideally Manhattan.

• Previous experience operating automation equipment like: ASRS, Robotic Cells, Shuttles, Start stop Conveyors
