Overview

This role will be responsible for supporting the daily work of Chick-fil-A's Support Center Warehouse (SCW) fulfillment team. The SCW team is responsible for fulfilling Restaurant orders of operational supplies through small parcel distribution, additional internal distribution channels, and fulfillment of Chick-fil-A branded items direct to consumers (Shop Chick-fil-A). Specifically, tasks would include picking, packing and shipping of orders, maintaining a safety culture, and ensuring transactional inventory accuracy.

The warehouse operates in a 60,000 sqft, temperature-controlled space on Chick-fil-A's Support Center Campus in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Works diligently, requiring very limited supervision
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Understand and ensure all facility policies and procedures are followed
  • Assures the timely processing of orders
  • Monitors progress of all areas and makes corrections to resolve lagging productivity
  • Advises Supervisor immediately of any situation that interrupts or prevents associates from achieving optimum throughput
  • Recommends ideas for improved quality, accuracy, and productivity
  • Participates and contributes during team meetings, creating organic followership within the team
  • Participates in continuous improvement and cost reduction projects
  • Cross trained and able to fill into areas, resulting from absenteeism
  • Ensuring items are reside in the proper location to support accurate cycle counting
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new associates on all policies and procedures
  • Follow safety practices and ensure 5S principles are followed
  • Assist Supervisor in accessing individual workflows and recommending opportunity areas as needed
  • Administrative duties including, but not limited to, managing emails, maintaining hard copy schedules for each line/station, and meeting daily with Team Leader to report production plans and progress

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 3-5 years of applicable experience
  • Onsite 100%
  • Experience in Sit Down truck; Reach truck experience
  • Working knowledge and experience of fulfillment operations
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, detail oriented with organization skills
  • Technical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Systems
  • Routinely show interest/knowledge in and offer suggestions/solutions for
    continuous improvement
  • Able to be flexible in anticipating needs, lead multiple projects and manage
    shifting priorities
  • Strong command of both written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to act in a professional, courteous and diplomatic fashion with
    fulfillment team

Physical Requirement:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds repeatedly
  • Safety shoes required and other PPE as working environment requires
  • Certified to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
