What You'll Do:

  • Design, build or enhance high-complexity components and platforms using varied technologies, with a focus on customer experience, scalability, maintainability, and resiliency.
  • Partner with technical and business teams on multiple initiatives, provide guidance and mentorship to the team, and collaborate to deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Contribute to code quality and architecture guidelines, provide feedback, and promote collaborative solutions for the team.
  • Guide team members and advise stakeholders on improvements and optimizations to features, practices, processes, and operations.
  • Work with and advise stakeholders and technology teams on how best to implement desired features and enhancements.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to team and stakeholders, and act as technical point of contact to influence stakeholders regarding trade-offs.
  • Collaborate to identify, isolate, and resolve malfunctions related to software.
  • Lead team members by example, advocating for best practices and influencing software engineering team hiring practices as the team continues to grow.
  • Actively participate in scrum ceremonies such as grooming, planning, demos and retros.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshooting production issues and operational excellence.
  • Position may require travel.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field and 7 years of experience.
  • Will also accept a Master’s degree and 5 years of experience in software development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Java and with related frameworks - Spring Boot and/or Spring Webflux.
  • 5+ years of experience building, deploying, testing APIs and micro services in a distributed systems environment.
  • Experience designing services and architecture in alignment to best practices and requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience developing features using PostgreSQL or other SQL-based databases.
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or similar tool.
  • Experience with Playwright or similar automated testing tools.
  • Proven experience serving in a technical lead capacity, including mentoring team members and driving results.
  • Experience with AWS cloud and Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience with high-performing, scalable systems.
  • Ability to think independently and break down product requirements into well-defined tasks.
  • Experience in monitoring production environment, troubleshooting, triaging and addressing production issues.

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience developing user interfaces using React.js, including component design, state management, TypeScript and integration with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in e-commerce.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.

Base Salary Range
$143,000$229,000 USD
