Software Development Manager
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a seasoned Software Development Manager to lead our Enterprise Service Delivery Solutions team, primarily passionate about using the ServiceNow platform to streamline enterprise operations. Based in either Plantation, FL or Boston, MA, this role presents an outstanding opportunity to influence Chewy’s operational excellence across multiple business and IT domains. You will play a pivotal role in crafting the strategic direction of our enterprise services, ensuring robust implementation, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives!
What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, driving the successful delivery of enterprise solutions using the ServiceNow platform and other technologies.
- Define and implement strategic roadmaps in collaboration with technical leadership and product collaborators.
- Oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring efficient performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop guidelines, standards, and frameworks to support ongoing improvement and improve collaborator experience.
- Coordinate project prioritization, goal achievement, and allocation of resources to ensure effective delivery of organizational objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of SDLC, implementing enhancements to improve efficiency and quality.
- Foster strong multi-functional collaboration with senior leadership, business units, and technology partners to align technology strategies and initiatives.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talent, ensuring team growth and technical excellence.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience leading software development teams using agile methodologies.
- Expert-level proficiency with the ServiceNow platform, with at least 3 years of direct experience in a Service Delivery team environment.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex software implementation projects.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic problem solver who can implement and deliver comprehensive roadmaps that drive organizational value.
Bonus:
- Certified Scrum Master or similar agile certifications.
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS, CTA, etc.).
- Technical experience across multiple technology stacks and programming languages (Java, PHP, React, Node.js, etc.).
- Knowledge of AWS or other public cloud.
