Social Content Strategist

Today Plantation, FL

Our Opportunity:

We’re looking for a strategic, editorial-minded content planner to help bring Chewy’s brand, enterprise, and One Social priorities to life across our organic platforms! As the content strategist passionate about campaigns and planning, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our social presence reflects the most important business and brand moments in ways that are engaging, platform-native, and audience-first.

You’ll be the strategic lead on the social content calendar — connecting the dots between what matters most to our customers and the business and how it shows up in the feed! You’ll collaborate closely with creators, strategists, and social leadership to develop high-performing content and ensure we’re showing up with consistency, creativity, and intention.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the strategic planning and ownership of the social content calendar, ensuring it reflects and aligns to the brand campaigns, enterprise priorities, and One Social strategic pillars.
  • Translate briefs and business goals into actionable content strategies and narratives across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
  • Partner closely with social content creators to develop, build, and optimize content tied to specific campaigns, launches, or cultural moments.
  • Ensure our publishing cadence delivers on reach, engagement, and storytelling goals — across tentpoles and sustain efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Community & Culture Strategist to integrate emerging trends, white space opportunities, and community insights into planning cycles.
  • Evaluate content performance and recommend calendar pivots or thematic focus shifts based on findings.
  • Develop and present briefs and content plans to social leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Partner with the Ops Lead to ensure plans are implemented efficiently, with appropriate lead times and documentation.

What You'll Need:

  • 6–8+ years of experience in social content strategy, editorial planning, digital brand marketing, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience owning multi-platform editorial calendars in a fast-paced brand or agency environment.
  • Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to connect brand positioning, creative ideas, and content formats.
  • Collaborative approach and experience working cross-functionally with creators, strategists, and campaign partners.
  • Deep knowledge of social platform behaviors, standard processes, and emerging trends.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and briefing skills.
  • Familiarity with project and content tools (e.g., Airtable, Sprinklr, Trello, Google Workspace).
