Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Site Merchandising Manager to join our team, based in Boston, MA, Seattle, WA, or Plantation, FL! This is an exciting opportunity to lead the shopping experience for Chewy’s Equine, Farm & Exotics customers, an outstanding and high-potential category serving passionate animal lovers. You will be responsible for crafting and driving merchandising content strategies and onsite experiences that elevate discoverability, education, and conversion for farm animals, horses, and exotic animals.

In this role, you'll develop and implement content and merchandising strategy playbooks tailored to the nuances of equine and exotic animal care, while testing and learning to continuously optimize the customer experience. You will collaborate cross-functionally with category management, marketing, UX, and analytics teams to translate business priorities into targeted onsite strategies that resonate with our diverse customer base.

You are a strategic thinker, diligent, and passionate about bringing clarity and innovation to complex, emerging categories!

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end onsite merchandising experience for a subset of categories within the Equine, Farm & Exotics vertical
  • Develop and optimize category-specific taxonomies and navigation paths to improve product findability and relevance
  • Build a “best-in-class” site experience that meets the outstanding needs of horse, farm animal, and exotic animal lovers
  • Use segmentation and audience insights to drive targeted content placement and product storytelling
  • Apply web analytics and site data to continuously improve the shopping journey and enhance awareness of Chewy’s product and service offerings in this vertical
  • Lead iterative experimentation to drive engagement and conversion through content and UX improvements
  • Partner closely with merchandising, supply chain, and CX teams to align on business goals and deliver cohesive experiences

What You’ll Need:

  • College degree in a business-related field
  • 4+ years of work experience, with 2+ years in ecommerce, site merchandising, or content management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Experience working cross-functionally with creative, tech, and analytical teams
  • A data-driven approach with a strong ability to translate insights into action
  • Passion for or familiarity with equine, farm, or exotic animal care is a plus

Bonus:

  • Experience in e-commerce back-end operations and Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Prior experience supporting niche or specialty retail verticals
