Senior Program Manager - Site Merchandising
At Chewy, it is our mission to become the most trusted and convenient online destination for pet parents and our partners vets and service providers alike. Our success is measured by the happiness of the people and pets we serve, not simply by the amount of pet supplies we deliver. That’s why we continue to think of outside-the-Chewy-box ways to delight, surprise, and thank our loyal pet lovers!
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Sr. Program Manager – Segmentation to join our Site Experience team, based in Boston or Seattle. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a core workstream for the Chewy Site Experience team and deliver personalized, relevant, and consistent experiences across Chewy.com.
In this role, you will own the onsite customer segmentation content and merchandising roadmap—driving alignment, execution, and measurable results across the site. You’ll partner closely with teams across Product, CRM, Creative, App, and Analytics to translate lifecycle insights into fit-for-purpose strategies and experiences that reflect where customers are in their journey with Chewy.
You’ll be the central point of contact for segmentation progress, ensuring that every initiative is grounded in customer needs, informed by data, and designed to deliver scaled impact. From Homepage tests to targeted content strategies, you’ll help shape how customers experience the warmth, care, and delight of the Chewy brand in every click. Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you! Come run with the Pack!
What You’ll Do:
- Own and manage the Customer Segmentation initiative roadmap, ensuring all projects, achievements, and deliverables are on track and prioritized to deliver maximum customer and business value.
- Act as the central hub with the site merchandising team for segmentation progress and alignment, providing clear updates, surfacing risks, and rallying cross-functional partners around shared goals.
- Collaborate with Product, CRM, Creative, App, and Analytics teams to define and implement strategies informed by customer lifecycle insights and behavioral data.
- Translate insights into testable briefs and site strategies, ensuring a robust test-and-learn agenda that drives measurable improvements to the customer experience.
- Oversee segmentation-informed experiments across high-visibility pages (e.g., Homepage, Deals page, Thank You page), from design through execution and analysis.
- Establish and maintain governance and intake processes to ensure segmentation principles are consistently applied across customer touchpoints.
- Champion a data-driven approach—partnering with analytics teams to track performance, share findings, and refine strategies.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, including 2+ years in ecommerce or digital program management.
- Proven track record managing cross-functional programs in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence customers at all levels.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Bonus:
- Experience with customer segmentation models, personalization strategies, and A/B testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau) and comfort with SQL.
- Background in site merchandising, digital marketing, customer lifecycle marketing, or product management.
