Senior Financial Systems Analyst

Our Opportunity:

Chewy seeks a Senior Financial Systems Analyst – Oracle EPM to join our growing team based in one of our corporate hubs (Plantation, FL)! The role will play a key role in bridging the gap between finance and technology, ensuring the accuracy of information derived from our financial systems, and identifying process improvement opportunities. Success in this role will require effective communication skills, innovative thinking, and a passion for delivering results. 

What You will Do:

  • Serve as the tech lead for their functional area and systems, owning the technology roadmap and improvement initiatives. 
  • Provide end-user systems support, validate system integrity, and maintain security and access to Oracle EPM systems
  • Work hands-on with internal customers and stakeholders to understand business processes and drive business transformation and process improvement while providing technical solutions as an internal consultant.
  • Be a key member of cross functional project teams and assist with requirements gathering, functional design, process design, testing, training, and defining support procedures
  • Build and maintain queries in Snowflake to manage and validate financial data across Chewy’s Oracle EPM and Data Warehouse environments

What You Will Need:

  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or MIS (e-commerce a plus)
  • Experience with financial systems and reporting platforms such as Oracle EPM, including Planning, Close & Consolidation, Enterprise Data Management, and Account Reconciliation, including hands-on configuration, data management, and form creation experience.
  • Experience with Snowflake data warehouse environments
  • Experience with financial analysis and modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to explain system issues to non-technical personnel.
  • Must be able to prioritize work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be effective working independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and applications quickly.
  • Demonstrate an analytical, methodical, and creative approach to resolving issues.

Bonus:

  • Experience utilizing Groovy scripts in forms within Oracle Planning and Close & Consolidation
  • Experience with Oracle ERP and OTBI reporting.
  • Experience with Tax Software, including Vertex and OneSource
  • Prior experience in retail and high-volume e-commerce industries.
  • Oracle Certifications a Plus
