Your Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team! In this role, you will help facilitate the consolidation and reporting of Corporate Payroll teams and be a crucial contributor to our Headcount and Payroll Center of Excellence (CoE).You will need to be a detail-oriented self-starter with experience working in an ambiguous environment, including rolling up your sleeves to complete complex business analysis and operating at depth. You will be responsible for supporting the corporate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes, while also innovating to refine financial models and strategic goals to incorporate new learnings and new data. This role must balance many deliverables simultaneously and be comfortable operating in a matrixed organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with internal Finance Leaders, Corporate FP&A, and Long-Term Planning teams, to drive the financial planning, forecasting, and actual results reporting calendar, cadence, and processes for the Headcount & Payroll CoE
  • Actively participate in the target setting and annual/quarterly planning processes.
  • Build mechanisms to inspect budgets, forecasts, and actual results to drive improved accuracy and attainment of a financial plan
  • Drive standard reporting across the enterprise to ensure that the teams are consistently communicating with business partners and stakeholders
  • Coordinate the month-end close process and manage/track financial performance against KPI’s, seasonal financial plans, and annual budget
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners from Operations, Human Resources, and other support teams
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as required
  • Extract and analyze data from central databases using Hyperion, SQL, and Tableau

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of related experience with an understanding of GAAP and financial statements
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a methodical, data-driven approach
  • Advanced Excel (i.e., VLOOKUP/Index Match, SUMIFS, pivot tables, etc.), data visualization, and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, key performance indicators, and variance analysis
  • Results-oriented mentality, highly upbeat, dynamic individual with a hands-on mentality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in an ambiguous environment with rapidly changing operating conditions, while still delivering to expectations

Bonus:

  • MBA and/or CPA
  • Familiarity with an e-commerce or retail business model
  • Experience with Hyperion SmartView, Oracle ERP, Tableau, and SQL
