Chief of Staff to the Chief Brand Officer

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a AD, Brand Operations, reporting to the Vice President of Brand Marketing. This is a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of Chewy’s business, build strong cross-functional relationships with senior leaders and quickly drive meaningful impact at an organizational level.

This leader will be a thought partner to the Marketing leadership team, steer strategic projects, and will refine and operationalize mechanisms and processes to continue to make Chewy the leading destination for pet parents and partners everywhere. This is a multifaceted role that will require an exceptional degree of business and operational savvy, comfort executing the vision of the Marketing organization, and the ability to conceptualize solutions for cultural, workflow, and organizational challenges. Candidates will be framework- oriented thinkers who thrive in fast-paced environments and will possess the capability to ultimately own a Chewy business line.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of Brand Marketing, providing high-level strategic support
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with company priorities, brand team priorities and timelines
  • Operationalize marketing strategy by aligning the organization against articulated objectives, streamline and improve processes for effective collaboration, identify gaps in systems and
  • Identifying the right teams, driving collaboration across orgs, implementing processes, getting in front of potentials
  • Managing Finance relationship and connecting across dept wide
  • Working with analytics teams to connect across dept wide
  • Build strong partnership across the organization and externally with outside stakeholders and third parties
  • Attend meetings and participate in projects with, or on behalf of, the VP of Marketing; manage pre- work, coordinate deliverables, facilitate meetings; and drive accountability for follow-through following those meetings
  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and information to facilitate efficient leadership (VP) decision making

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 10+ years of work experience
  • Familiarity with Marketing strategy and operations
  • Proven track record of getting things done from strategy to delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional ability to work effectively cross-functionally
  • Demonstrate a data-driven approach to problem solving and prioritization
  • Ability to proactively identify future business needs and actualize plans in response
  • Operational role in tech and corporate environments

Bonus:

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Consulting experience in retail or e-commerce
