Our Opportunity: 

Chewy is seeking a customer-centric Associate Director of Healthcare Marketing to join our growing Healthcare Marketing team. In this role, you will manage a team to develop and implement full-funnel marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention across our portfolio of Healthcare Services, including Insurance and Virtual Care Services. 

This is a high-impact leadership role that blends strategic thinking, creative execution, and operational rigor to deliver campaigns that improve pet health and deepen customer trust.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead a team to develop and implement customer acquisition and retention strategies across Chewy’s Healthcare Services portfolio, including Insurance and Virtual Care Services. 
  • Handle the healthcare marketing budget and lead cross-functional partners, including Media and Performance Marketing, to optimize spend and improve ROI. 
  • Build and launch integrated go-to-market plans that drive awareness, adoption, and loyalty through digital and offline channels. 
  • Leverage customer insights, behavioral data, and market trends to advise positioning, messaging, and campaign strategy. 
  • Partner with product, category management, brand, creative, CRM, analytics, and legal/compliance teams to drive effective cross-functional execution. 
  • Author and present campaign briefs, GTM documents, calendars, and performance summaries to internal team members and senior leadership. 
  • Define and track success metrics, uncover insights, and continually refine campaign strategies based on results. 
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives align with regulatory and healthcare compliance requirements. 
  • Establish scalable processes, frameworks, and playbooks to enable cross-team efficiency. 
  • Conduct robust post-mortems to identify takeaways and fuel continuous improvement. 

What You’ll Need: 

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing, or brand management, ideally in ecommerce, physical retail, or digital services, or related industries. 
  • Proven success in handling marketing budgets and leading cross-functional marketing efforts across full funnel campaigns that drive customer growth and retention. 
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and mentoring teams. 
  • Deep experience in customer lifecycle marketing, campaign execution, and performance optimization. 
  • Product marketing experience preferred, particularly in go-to-market execution, messaging, and positioning. 
  • Strong analytical abilities with a data-first approach to decision-making. 
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities. You can distill complex topics into simple, compelling narratives. 
  • High degree of ownership, adaptability, and drive in fast-paced environments. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar areas required. Master’s in business administration (MBA) preferred.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.

Base Salary Range
$127,000$232,500 USD
