This internship opportunity has a targeted duration of 4 – 8  months, beginning on May 2, 2022

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Wells Engineering Intern in Calgary, Alberta until Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Lead the application of emerging technologies and innovations in an effort to optimize drilling / completion performance and increase operational efficiencies.
• Work closely with the Performance Team and assist in benchmarking performance and leveraging lessons learned for future operations.
• General engineering related projects as assigned by the Engineering Team.
• Perform supervised field trips to Wellsites to witness active drilling & completions operations as required.
• Active member of an integrated asset development team, including drilling, completions and geology representatives. Part of the #OneTeam.

Qualifications:

• Sophomore (Year 2) and Junior (Year 3) students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Process, Mechanical or Civil Engineering disciplines.
• Demonstrated high level of academic performance.
• Good communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic with internal drive to succeed.
• Strong computer applications knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Previous oil and gas related internship experience is an asset.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
