Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Software Engineer - Integration Developer/Analyst located in Makati City, Philippines.

The individual will be part of a dynamic team/s that is responsible to develop and maintain integration solutions using Microsoft stack (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus) and work with various digital platforms. Comfortable working in an Agile environment with an evolving set of software languages and frameworks. Is versed in cybersecurity, software development, and DevOps best practices. This role will consistently deliver innovative solutions, driving them through design, planning, development, deployment and support that simplify business processes and workflows to drive business value.

High Level Job Description & Scope

• Uses solid software development best practices and standard tools to ensure quality and maintainable digital solutions that include modularity, scalability, observability and integration 

• Works on key projects and digital innovation initiatives following agile principals

• Collaborates with other product teams to develop and share reusable software components and services, implement consistent automated builds including managing test coverage, build schedules, and build qualities

Scope of work includes, but not limited to:

• Use Enterprise integration/application tools to design, develop, troubleshoot, debug and deploy integrations/applications

• Ability to proactively support the API & integration team from a technical perspective and enable effective communication between the team and the stakeholders.

• Troubleshooting complex integration issues.

• Provides strategic direction for API and integration technologies

• Ability to grasp application and integration concepts of new products quickly and efficiently (Curious mindset)

• Good understanding of ERP architecture, functionality, integration API and configurations

• Participate in POCs and standing up new platforms to support the changing landscape of integrations

• Work closely with Integration Specialists, Integration Architects and solution architects to ensure solutions follow integration strategy and guidelines

• Create integration effort estimates

• Assess risks and benefits of the solution designs alternatives in the integration platform

• Foundational digital platforms and capabilities development

• Design and develop using data engineering, data integration and data management practices and tools

Skills Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related technical field

• Technologies:

  • Strong implementation experience developing integrations using Microsoft stack (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus)

  • Strong understanding with OAuth mechanisms.

  • Works with source control, source control practices and Azure Repos (e.g. Git and GitFlow)

  • Comfortable developing SAP APIs using ODATA and be able to translate JSON files from SAP into swagger files based on Company definitions.

  • Understands CI/CD Processes (e.g. Azure DevOps Pipelines, Ansible)

  • Able to apply integration patterns to business integration scenarios (API/service, messaging, ETL)

  • Able to identify appropriate Azure integration service(s) for each pattern/use case.

  • Knowledgeable in SQL and non-SQL database.

• Agile Development: Knowledge of and ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications.

• Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of and experience with activities, tools and techniques for converting business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
