Land Analyst - Gulf of Mexico Business Unit

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Land Analyst - Gulf of Mexico Business Unit through 02/04/2022 at 11:59 p.m. 

Responsible for providing analytical Land support. Performs a variety of land agreement maintenance activities and inputting information into systems. Maintain expiration schedules, obligations and reports and maintain authorization for expenditure (AFE) database for tracking responses. Constructively use a high level of self-directed initiative to consistently and competently achieve assigned responsibilities that include but are not limited to - prepare cover letter for routine AFEs and interpreting; analyzing and providing summaries (written & oral) on existing agreements; chain basic title and provide summaries; pull data from external sources; perform deep document and file searches; develop customized reports from Quorum Land Systems (QLS), Quorum Geographic Information Systems (QGIS), Quorum Query Model (QQM), SAP and other databases; analyze and understand all agreement provisions for population into QLS; review files and prepare title clearances; prepare presentations and custom spreadsheets, reports; partner with internal and external customers and, or other Land divisions.

Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Prioritize & take ownership of work. Communicate progress. Listen to understand intent & needs. Adjust communication for audience.

  • Compile, analyze, and communicate land data and concepts.

  • Connect on shared goals. Offer suggestions & solutions.

  • Demonstrates strong teamwork skills within work group, internal & external customers, & other Land divisions.

  • Build marketing materials and perform title due diligence on outgoing and incoming properties.

  • Advise land support personnel to maintain land records system.

  • Make risk-based business recommendations; clearly articulate value tradeoffs. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree - Paralegal, Business, Energy Commerce, Land Management or other

  • 3+ years of related experience

  • Strong knowledge of Land systems. Ability to analyze and understand all agreement provisions for population into QLS

  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.

  • Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal skills to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary group to achieve project related goals.

  • Creative, outside the box thinker – solutions oriented.

  • Ability to build and influence both internal and external relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quorum Land Systems (QLS) and Quorum Geographic Information Systems (QGIS) experience

Relocation Options:

Relocation may be considered.

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
