  • The High-Performance Computing (HPC) team is responsible for providing application and infrastructure solutions that support complex, compute intensive workloads, parallel filesystems, low latency networks, and agile project management/DevOps. 

  • The HPC team partners with scientists, engineers, and other HPC infrastructure and application experts to provide HPC solutions that fully leverage the computing resources on premise and in the cloud.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with colleagues in HPC Computing, Information Technology, and Upstream/Downstream business units to design and deliver HPC solutions, both on premise and in Microsoft Azure.

  • Effectively and efficiently automate, optimize, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems and business solutions.

  • Ensure all technical solutions are aligned with the vision, principles, architecture, and standards defined by the relevant architecture, security, and data teams.

  • Demonstrate experience with one or more technologies:  Linux, Windows, Parallel filesystems, Networking, Cloud, Python, Perl, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell.

  • Use and share knowledge of HPC software development techniques, including compilers, languages, and programming models.   

Required Qualifications:

  • +5 years of work experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply knowledge of new products and emerging technologies specifically around HPC / Technical Computing deployments; leverage existing technology practices, standards, and procedures; manage mid to large-sized infrastructure evaluation and deployment projects.

  • Support of HPC infrastructures including multiple sub-environments such as visualization, compute, storage, interconnects, code, and systems management.

  • Agile Project Execution and Troubleshooting- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute agile projects meeting business objectives and solving business problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • +10 years of work experience.

  • Bachelor Degree in computer science or related fields.

  • Linux, Cloud, and storage system administration experience in a global/hybrid large-scale enterprise environment.

  • HPC job scheduling systems, parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre), and configuration management technologies (e.g., Satellite, Ansible, Python, Puppet, and Azure).

  • Familiarity with the related underlying infrastructures (e.g., security, data, hardware) supporting HPC technical applications and primary systems.

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
