Checkout.com is actively looking for a driven and agile Senior Manager, IT Risk and Controls to join our growing Finance team.

As we continue to grow and scale, we’re on the hunt for an experienced IT Audit Professional to join our Finance Risk and Controls team. As the business continues to scale, this role will be instrumental to our in strengthening our internal control environment, monitoring and reporting.

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, laser-focused and highly organised individual, not shying away from high volume of work. You must be a teammate when it comes to getting the job done and assisting wherever you can.

 

How you’ll make an impact

 

  • Develop a broad domain and technical understanding of our automated and technology dependent control implementations that help record, maintain and report on customer data related to financial reporting.
  • Document, challenge and build an end to end view of our application controls to illustrate key IT dependent risks, controls and processes.
  • Support with the compliance and improvement in monitoring of IT General Controls, with a primary focus on Access and Change Management.
  • Work closely with Finance and IT teams to help guide and deliver on control design improvements. We love automation and our engineers will need your help to design the most efficient controls.
  • You'll have a high degree of ownership and will be responsible for guiding and challenging the team through the next phase of technical control improvements, automation and implementation.
  • Build a testing programme to independently assess IT controls to identify gaps and collaborate with process owners to implement remediation plans.
  • Keep on track of Finance Risk and Control findings and also monitor the progress for internal and external audit actions to ensure they are completed on time and actions are adequate to mitigate the risks identified.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Bachelors, masters or Diploma in Technology, Mathematics or related field. Professional qualification such as CISA or equivalent and knowledge of COBIT is a must.
  • 7+ years experience in audit and assurance engagements with a focus on IT General Controls, automated and IT dependent controls. Experience within Financial services or organisations dealing with high volume transactions is a distinctive advantage.
  • A record of delivering IT controls and process improvement projects. You take a proactive approach to investigate complex problems, propose solutions and execute to completion.
  • An understanding of the value of taking a balanced approach to risk and controls to support the growth of the business.
  • You work well in a multinational team environment, and know how to have an impact through others.
  • You're keen to learn and develop your knowledge of how a Fintech and fast growing scale-up operates.
