The role

As we continue to grow in size, scale and complexity, we are looking for a specialist to join our Finance function. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Bank Reconciliations, this newly created role will support our cash reconciliations control function to ensure timely and accurate reporting of bank account balances across the globe. 

The successful applicant will be joining at an exciting time as we invest in strengthening our Accounting operations capabilities  and improve the quality and robustness of balance sheet reporting, particularly standardisation and automation of reconciliations.

Successful candidates will bring experience of working in a high-volume, complex and dynamic environment, juggling multiple deliverables whilst maintaining accuracy and quality of output.

Qualifications

How you’ll make an impact

  • Perform BAU Bank Reconciliation processes and controls across our GL on all our trading bank accounts. 
  • Identify discrepancies, the respective root causes and initiate corrective actions. 
  • Connect with internal and external partners to resolve queries in the resolution and escalation of reconciliation challenges where needed.
  • Continually look at ways of improving data integrity and quality, automation, strengthening of controls, operational and reporting efficiency. 
  • Participate in project work or product development initiatives alongside daily responsibilities
  • Support the team on audits both internal and external.

Additional Information

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting or equivalent 
  • 3+ years work experience with reconciliations in a high-volume transaction environment
  • Extremely strong working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong data analytics skills and experience handling large volumes of data
  • Strong understanding of double-entry accounting
  • Systems knowledge, particularly Workday would be highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the payments industry and/or Fintech would be beneficial
