Video Producer, Insights and Education Content Manager

4 days ago Austin, TX

Pay range: USD $91,500.00 - $115,000.00 / Year

Your opportunity

At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us "challenge the status quo" and transform the finance industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s). Employees may have the flexibility for a hybrid schedule, and role is expected to be in the office 4 days a week.

As a Video Producer on the Insights and Education Content team, you'll produce education and market commentary that embodies the Schwab brand and empowers millions of individual investors and traders. You'll immerse yourself in the world of investing to make authentic content that resonates, whether that means translating complex concepts for beginners or speaking market lingo that lets traders know you're one of them.

This is an opportunity to make videos for the largest financial brand YouTube channel and help build an audience on TikTok. Creativity and flexibility are central requirements; you'll play a number of roles, including writer, researcher, storyteller, designer, strategist, cameraperson, or host for everything from the shortest TikTok to the longest YouTube deep-dive.

Success will require deep familiarity with video and digital media trends and culture, passion for financial markets, stellar writing skills, high attention to detail, ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), and eagerness to learn and improve.

Responsibilities:

  • Create education and commentary videos about financial markets, investing, and trading, taking content from initial concept to completion, including topic and audience research, writing, identifying effective visuals, filming (partnering with production staff as needed), and securing SME and compliance approvals.
  • Appear on camera or work behind the scenes collaborating with other production staff and subject matter experts.
  • Experiment with video formats, evaluating and improving content based on analytics and feedback from the audience, leaders, and subject matter experts.

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have:

Required Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience; degree in Creative Writing, English, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience creating engaging video content, especially short-form vertical video required, ideally 4 years of experience.
  • Deep familiarity with video platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram Reels.
  • Demonstrated superior writing skills-the ability to write clear, concise, creative prose for a variety of formats and voices.
  • Passion for financial markets and investing/trading strongly preferred.
  • Authentic, engaging on-camera presence.
  • Ability to translate complex subjects into creative, engaging, useful content.
  • High creativity, flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills and an understanding of how to use analytics to identify content opportunities and evaluate performance.
  • Avid consumption of a wide variety of traditional and emerging media and content.
  • Eagerness for feedback and a strong desire to develop skills.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a
full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
