We assist plan sponsors to ensure that the plans are operated in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA, following the IRS and DOL regulations and the plan provisions. This role supports the billing and the collection of payments for Workplace Retirement Services specifically Retirement Plan Services (RPS) and Stock Plan Services (SPS).

Stock Plan Services (SPS)

  • Generate and transmit quarterly billing for approximately 140 SPS corporate clients.
  • Accurately track and bill administrative and misc. fees for new and existing SPS clients.
  • Track payments, credits, and aged receivables in the billing system; submit transactions for review and approval in GENTRAN.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reporting for Accounting and SPS Relationship Managers (RMs) & Customer Service Managers (CSMs)
  • Respond to questions from clients and internal partners; escalate past due invoices with business partners.

Retirement Plan Services (RPS)

  • Collaborate with other billing team members to produce quarterly invoices for recordkeeping fees, other fees, and fund-remuneration adjustments for RPS clients.
  • Track payments and past-due amounts in the billing system.
  • Process fund remuneration payments to participant and plan accounts.
  • Provide timely response to questions from Relationship Managers (RMs) and internal business partners for assigned clients.
  • Set up and review plan fees in RPM/SRI for plan conversions and amended fees for existing clients.
  • Process and track requests and tasks in the Work Requests/myQ/Absolute Quality systems.
  • Produce monthly/quarterly Aging and other reports for Relationship Management, Accounting, and Internal Controls/Audit.

What you have

  • 3-5 years in the qualified retirement plan industry or finance industry experience, preferably with a general understanding of Recordkeeping Fees and Fee Disclosures
  • Desire to make a significant contribution to the growth of Schwab's Recordkeeping Fee Team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management experience including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing workload based upon risk/business needs
  • Ability to work independently or under minimal direction
  • Effective critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail while keeping a holistic approach
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the appropriate sense of urgency to meet stringent deadlines
  • Experience communicating effectively to business partners and leadership
  • Aptitude to help determine departmental objectives and action plans
