In Schwab Cybersecurity Services (SCS), Office of CISO, we provide platforms, services, and security operations capabilities which enable the firm to produce successful client and shareholder outcomes securely and safely. Securing our IT assets, data, and access to applications is the core of who we are and what we do. We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to ensure the client experience is of highest quality. In this role, you will challenge yourself as an organized and experienced engineer who has an eye for quality, to collaborate closely with business partners to understand requirements and use various automation toolsets to contribute to automated testing suites for the applications you support.

What you have

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field
  • 12+ years of hands-on QA engineering and testing experience with progressive testing responsibilities including but not limited to designing and executing API, UI, Scheduled Jobs, and DB test scenarios/cases.
  • 8+ years of experience in Front End Technologies/Concepts: JSP / Java, Angular and/or AngularJS, JSON/XML, Sync/Async services
  • 8+ years of experience in Back End Technologies/Concepts: Advanced technical competency in an OOP language Java, J2EE and RESTful API design, Micro-Services and Event-drive driven architecture and frameworks.
  • 8+ years of experience in developing test automation scripts, particularly web-enabled applications
  • 3-5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
  • 2-4+ years of experience with JIRA to support test case execution or other case management tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced expertise in quality assurance testing activities for the designated business area to develop effective testing practices to confirm integrity and reliability of business operations.
  • Experience supporting Cyber Security tools/applications, including but not limited to Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies such as SailPoint Identity IQ (IIQ), PING ID, and/or HYPR or related applications in Cyber Security.
  • Able to effectively communicate essential information across multiple departments and groups including technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience and understanding of overall software development processes including business analysis, development, testing, maintenance, and improvement of software.
  • Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Testing Frameworks.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
