A Senior Team Manager, Fixed Income Service provides an exciting opportunity to be a driver of growth, leadership, and innovation. Our dedicated specialists provide market insight and one-on-one service to help our clients research the right bonds and income solutions for their portfolios. Additionally, we provide online research and commentary on a variety of current market conditions and investing fundamentals. We help clients at all stages of investing. Whether they are looking to diversify their portfolios, or ready to start drawing income from their savings we are here to help them find the right solutions to meet their wealth management and income needs and goals.

You will be expected to be a leader in championing our client's goals, focusing on the recruitment, retention, and development of our people, displaying leadership courage, and collaborating to drive better results. As Senior Manager of Income Solutions, you will lead a team of 10 to 14 fixed income investment specialists focused on client relationships, investment solutions, and the personalized approach to service that Schwab is known for.

  • Creating and cultivating an outstanding environment of teamwork, integrity, open communication, transparency, and client loyalty.
  • Developing team members through coaching, career planning, and mentoring. A strong coaching background is highly desired.
  • Challenging employees to do their best work and stay engaged and motivated within their role.
  • Coaching to metric expectations and holding team members accountable for high quality work.
  • Working directly with business partners to identify platform enhancements, and continuously improving the client experience.
  • Leading business development focus for the department, focusing on collaboration with partner groups and coaching team members on lead flow process.
  • Accepting ownership for both team and individual effectiveness. Reliably completing all necessary job responsibilities and requiring little supervision. Effectively recognizing strategic business opportunities and seizing them.
  • The ability to notice, interpret, and anticipate others' concerns and feelings, and to communicating this awareness empathetically. To connect with others in a way that fosters trust and creates collaborative relationships.

What you have

Required:

  • 5+ years' experience with Schwab either as a contractor, employee, or previous employee.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with demonstrated success leading employee development.
  • Thorough knowledge of brokerage/financial services industry.
  • Active FINRA Series 7, 63, and 9/10 required (may consider as a condition of employment).

Preferred:

  • Strong coordination, relationship, teamwork, and partnership skills with ability to evaluate opportunities and challenges from clients' perspective.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity
  • Bachelor's degree, FINRA Series 66 and Life/Health Insurance license preferred.
  • Experience with Fixed Income and Bloomberg is a plus.

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
