The CET Retail Web Technology team is responsible for leading a coordinated technological approach to developing and maintaining Schwab's primary digital web channel. We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to join Retail Web Technology. This individual should have a passion for keeping up-to-date and using innovative web technologies to build interactive web applications. The job will include design and development of Websites while also addressing complicated scalability requirements. The candidate should have strong object-oriented design and programming skills using Windows .NET C#, Angular, REST or Soap Services, Web APIs, Stencil Web components and experience implementing object-oriented solutions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in computer science or related discipline or relevant work experience.
- At least 6 years of professional software development and testing experience of Web UI and REST APIs.
- Working experience with Schwab systems and processes
- Must have good understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns and data structures.
- Proficiency in C# or Java, JSON, RESTFUL APIs & .Net Core, HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery & Stencil JS
- Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
- Interact with product owner and key stakeholders in Project Management, Business, SDE, SDETs and Technology Operations to ensure high quality delivery of software projects on time and budget.
- Proven ability to analyze, propose and implement timely, cost effective, quality solutions for all issues or problems within area of responsibility.
- Utilize automated software test tools (Web Driver IO, JMeter, MABL etc.) and frameworks such as Test-driven development to achieve software quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and support applications in production in case of any issues. Create Splunk logs, dashboards and setup monitoring and alerts to avoid re-occurrence of similar issues for all your applications.
- Solid direct experience in a mission-critical mid-tier production environment.
- Effective communication skills, ability to read high and mid-level architecture documentation.
- Awareness of emerging technologies/standards is required. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced client-driven environment that continually embraces the latest technologies and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud services like Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services
- Experience with development tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and Bamboo
- Financial/Trading services or Regulated industry experience
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
