Pay range: USD $103,500.00 - $175,000.00 / Year

We are seeking a Senior User Experience Designer (individual contributor) to help us create a simple, modern wealth management platform that enables world-class efficiency and highly personalized experiences for Advisors and Associate Wealth Advisors in the Wealth and Advice Solutions (WAS) organization. Through close partnership with WAS stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing digital experiences that elevate the rep experience.
Your primary focus will be on translating strategic insights into actionable experience concepts by defining the structure, flow, and content of the solution. Additionally, you will visualize design ideas through interactive prototypes that communicate the intended user experience, helping to align teams, gather feedback, and guide development.

While your primary user persona will be Advisors, you will need to stay connected to the Sales and Service experiences and capabilities. This is essential as several tasks and workflows cross over between these personas, and a cohesive, consistent, and intuitive rep desktop is crucial for overall success. You will facilitate alignment and decision-making across business stakeholders, product owners, and technology partners, requiring excellent relationship management and executive presence.
What you are good at:
Design Consulting
- Facilitate collaborative design sessions including sketching and ideation
- Lead design reviews and drive decisions
- Create design solutions with a multi-faceted team, considering how digital, physical, and service channels work together
- Represent the design team brand and deliver a consistent design process to partners.
- Understand that great designs are achieved iteratively
- Visualize ideas in a clear form (sketch, diagram, wireframe, or prototype) and provide appropriate level documentation
Design Management
- Set expectations with the project team and prioritize activities
- Create and maintain design schedules
- Communicate status and agreements with project team
- Review work with UX managers, keep them updated on project status and escalate items appropriately
Design Expertise and Execution
- Take a systematic approach to designing interfaces, ensuring consistency across experiences
- Conduct the primary design activities, create deliverables, and conduct QA at an expert level
- Participate and support research efforts
- Commit to improving our process and methods with an emphasis on both effectiveness and efficiency
Teamwork, Collaboration and Engagement
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders to craft solutions that meet business objectives and user needs
- Strategically listen to feedback and help guide the delivery
- Evolving design mindset that is not rigidly fixed when presented with new information

What you have
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BFA degree
- More than 5 years of design experience on digital products and in a financial services environment with in-depth understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, technology applications, business architecture, client and representative experience, and project management
- Background in Enterprise Environments, Business and IT Strategy, Agile, Lean, Process Design, Program Management, Customer Relationship Management processes and technologies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to communicate design rationale that connects user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility
- Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic
- Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to track and manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of Agile methods and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding and/or experience with financial services regulations
- Knowledge of Schwab products, services and support systems
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
