Event and Production Services (EPS) designs and delivers events and multimedia productions that attract, engage and retain clients and employees. We take pride in creating memorable experiences that differentiate the Schwab brand. The Retail Regional Events team is a team of five within EPS who develops and executes regional event portfolios with the primary goal of helping the Branch Network retain and deepen client relationships in addition to creating opportunities to drive business growth.

The Senior Event Manager is responsible for approximately 60 single day events ranging in size from 10 to 300 participants supporting Schwab's comprehensive wealth management offerings within the Investor Services organization. In this role you will design and plan high-touch meetings and events for the Branch Network and partner with internal business partners to ensure the event portfolio and client experience align and support business objectives and firm priorities. Events will range from highly customized experiential events to turnkey ticketed events. You will support several major markets around the country and travel will be expected for in-person events.

Primary markets of responsibility will include Nashville, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Boston (subject to change). Additional event locations will vary, based on business needs.

  • Communicating. You are well-spoken, a grammar stickler, and are comfortable developing approachable copy for event-related pieces such as invitations, follow-up communications and more.

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have:

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience in event planning and execution, with growing levels of responsibility and accountability.
  • Strategic in nature with strengths in holistically driving, influencing and effectively delivering on the established event strategy.
  • A strong understanding of how to plan and orchestrate successful and engaging events with an eye for sophistication and finesse in event design and decor.
  • An innovative and forward-thinking mind, with a keen eye for detail, and a focus on crafting unique and personalized event experiences.
  • Experience developing and creating high touch, highly experiential events for clients, employees, and/or executives, ideally with previous corporate experience.
  • Breadth of experience in client hospitality, such as premium sporting events, celebrity chef experiences, art-based events and more. Experience hosting educational programs and working with authorities in the financial services industry is also preferred. Work samples that show a range of event types, budgets, and formats are appreciated.
  • Solid contracting skills with venues, caterers, decor and lighting companies, DMCs, etc.
  • Strong fiscal approach with excellent budget management and forecasting skills.
  • Experience coordinating registration, complex housing management and air and ground travel arrangements (preferred but not required).
  • Extensive PC skills and in-depth experience with Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with event-related technology such as Cvent and Salesforce.
  • Travel expectations: 30%

  • The ability to be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity while course correcting based on evolving decisions and circumstances.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
