The Retail Web Technology (RWT) organization leads the development and maintenance of Schwab's premier digital platform for retail clients - individual investors just like you. Our team is seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer who embraces being a team contributor and has a real passion for using state of the art web technologies to build compelling interactive web applications. Our mission is to build robust solutions that achieve measurable value, which empower our clients, in a fun and engaging environment. What you have

▪ BA/BS degree in Computer Science OR related practical experience

▪ Confidence using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

▪ Skill with C#/.NET Core development, creating and consuming RESTful services

▪ Experience with Angular and client side MV* frameworks

▪ Executes rigorous testing to ensure systems and products meet quality standards

▪ Effectively prioritizes requirements using roadmaps, epics, and backlogs

▪ Responsive Design and Single Page Applications (SPA) experience

▪ Independently executes software design techniques that meet project requirements

▪ Ability to thrive in a distributed development setting, across multiple time zones and locations

▪ Understanding of Agile software development principles, including experience participating in a Scrum-based delivery team

▪ Ability to collaborate with the local scrum team in Austin, TX in the office on a regular basis

Preferred Qualifications:

▪ An exacting attention to detail and the talent and enthusiasm for producing web software solutions using advanced development technologies

▪ Familiarity with unit testing patterns (TDD/BDD) and methodologies

▪ Experience with Atlassian development tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and GitHub

▪ Knowledge on the cloud computing platforms, authorization frameworks and CI/CD pipeline concepts

▪ Contributes ideas for new approaches or technologies within a defined scope

▪ Verbally conveys complex concepts and engages peers effectively

▪ Good interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

▪ Sets challenging goals, monitors progress, and applies problem-solving techniques

▪ Delivers high-quality work with minimal revisions by adhering to standards

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
