Reporting into a leader in the Agile Project and Portfolio Management (APPM) organization, this role will support the Firm's shift to Scaled Agile methodologies. In this role, you will develop and support Scaled Agile transformation strategies to improve planning and align portfolio outcomes to the firm's strategic objectives. This is a highly visible role requiring cross-functional collaboration with executives, managers, and technical teams to drive cultural and operational change. To be successful you will need deep expertise in Scaled Agile methodologies and exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution skills. This role is critical for enabling effective firmwide Scaled Agile adoption across diverse business and technical teams. Experience implementing and sustaining Scaled Agile is a must as this role will support the ongoing maturity of Scaled Agile Practice after implementation.

Key responsibilities:
- As a people leader and manager of managers you will:
- Facilitate the adoption of the SAFe framework, guiding business and technical teams through the transition to agile methodologies.
- Develop processes to sustain change to ensure agile principles, practices, and associated tooling are fully integrated into our delivery processes.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate teams on scaled agile principles, practices, and tools including portfolio backlog management, program increment planning, product backlog refinement and decomposition.
- Identify, monitor and mitigate risks associated with scaled agile adoption.
- Act as a SAFe mentor and coach to business and technical team members, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance.
- Works with business owners to ensure that they are engaged, understand and support direction.
What you have
Required experience:
- Have led an implementation of portfolio SAFe (scaled agile framework) in a large financial institution
- Implemented Product Management and Agile Planning Related Software, ideally with Clarity, Rally, and Jira.
- 5+ years of direct people management, managing an team >30, must have experience as a manager of managers
- 10+ years agile transformation
- 5+ years financial services experience
- 5+ experience Product Development Lifecycle.
- Experience managing multiple large cross functional technology programs in complex matrixed environments.
- Expertise with multiple Agile frameworks (such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe).
- Ability to engage, present, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization (C-Suite and down).
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications like ScrumMaster, Product Owner, SAFe Program Consultant, PMI-ACP etc. are highly beneficial.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
