Charles Schwab's Retail Digital team is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of our platforms and services which enable digital interactions with clients at scale. Our digital experience is the way that most clients interact with us on a daily basis, and we're focused on creating the best experience possible for our users.

Within Retail Digital, the Profile & Account Maintenance Team is looking for a detail-oriented problem solver who is passionate about creating easy-to-use digital experiences to join our dynamic product team. This Digital Product Manager (individual contributor) will drive the delivery, optimization, and management of a suite of existing and new digital Account Management features such as Beneficiary Attestation. This role will work closely with web and mobile app software engineers, user experience designers and researchers, and cross-departmental business stakeholders to deliver best-in-class experiences that are personalized for dozens of account types and user roles.

Key Functions:

Working hand in hand with an agile scrum team, the Product Manager will be responsible for user story creation, prioritization, grooming, UAT, and oversight for approximately 5-8 digital experiences. They will also serve as the primary point of contact for all production bugs and client escalations for those experiences. This Manager must be a client advocate, understand client personas and associated needs, and be able to clearly define requirements for UX design and content. The ability to quickly learn complex technical systems and think outside the box when problem solving is critical to meeting the dynamic demands of the business.

What you'll do:

  • You will be accountable for the discovery and development of the digital client experience requirements.
  • You will prioritize work through opportunity validation and stakeholder consensus building.
  • You will develop an implementation plan by working with a team to determine technical feasibility and sequencing dependencies.
  • You will partner with UX to create mobile-first designs and experiences.
  • You will champion Agile methodologies in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, backlog prioritization, user story preparation and demos.
  • You will work cross-functionally with technical, design, business, and compliance counterparts to define product release requirements and investigate production issues as they arise.
  • You will serve as a digital experience subject matter expert and evangelist to stakeholders.
  • You will manage your scrum team's 12 month roadmap, raise awareness of delivery risks, and both understand and be able to clearly communicate tradeoffs given capacity and enterprise priorities .

What you have

  • Prior experience as an Agile Product Owner/Manager or leading scrum teams is required, with a deep understanding of agile methodologies and outcome driven roadmaps
  • Expert listening skills with the demonstrated ability to understand and refine the business intent behind stated requirements
  • Expert functional requirement and user story requirement abilities
  • Strong knowledge base and experience developing or managing digital experiences, coupled with knowledge of the underlying technology, both current and emerging
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships across multiple levels of the organization
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally with technology, service, marketing, and product teams to design, develop and launch a complex digital experience
  • Curiosity, a can-do attitude and the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a complex, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills and ability to track multiple project deliverables with minimal direction
  • Experience with digital analytics; Adobe Analytics experience preferred
  • Good understanding and/or experience with financial services regulations is a plus

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2 years agile scrum experience
  • Minimum 2years digital Product ownership/management experience
  • Expertability to write functional requirements and user stories
  • Strong background in developing or managing digital experiences
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence across multiple levels of the organization
  • Quick learner of complex technical systems, with creative problem-solving skills
  • Understanding client personas and needs, and translating them into clear requirements for UX design and content

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Series 7 license

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
