As a Content Strategist, you will create educational and product content journeys that help guide clients/prospects through investing, trading, and wealth management decisions. This involves developing high-quality content that educates, informs, and engages our clients, and aligns with the company's mission to empower clients.

Overview of Role:

  • Develop and execute content strategies that drive engagement and support educational and product goals, ensuring that content is actionable for clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and subject matter experts, to create comprehensive content journeys that guide clients/prospects through investment and financial planning processes
  • Conduct audience research to understand client needs, preferences, and pain points, and use insights to tailor content that resonates with different segments of Charles Schwab's client base
  • Produce high-quality, original content that teaches clients/prospects about investing, banking, and wealth management
  • Optimize content for various platforms, including the Charles Schwab website, mobile app, and paid channels, to enhance user engagement and accessibility
  • Analyze content performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize content strategies and delivery methods.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest content marketing trends and best practices, and stay current with regulatory changes and financial education to ensure content accuracy and compliance
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery of educational and product-related content, aligning with key business initiatives and market events
  • Work closely with the marketing and communications teams to integrate content strategies with broader marketing campaigns and client communication efforts
  • Facilitate the review and approval process for all content, ensuring it meets Charles Schwab's standards for quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of content strategy experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of digital content creation and distribution platforms
  • Proven ability to develop and execute content plans that align with business objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and engagement
  • Experience in creating educational content that simplifies complex financial concepts
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and design
  • Strong analytical skills to measure and report on content performance
  • Financial services industry experience.
  • Passion for financial literacy and a commitment to helping clients achieve their investment goals
