Position Description
CGI is seeking a talented and experienced Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team in Detroit. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative technology solutions that address our clients' complex business challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with clients to understand their requirements, architect scalable and robust solutions, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. This is a strategic role that requires strong technical expertise, exceptional critical thinking skills, and effective communication abilities.

requirements, identify technical challenges, and define solution objectives.
• Design end-to-end technology solutions that align with business goals, leveraging a
variety of technologies, frameworks, and platforms.
• Create architectural diagrams, system blueprints, and technical documentation to
effectively communicate the proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical
audiences.
• Evaluate existing systems, infrastructure, and applications to identify areas for
improvement and propose architectural enhancements to optimize performance,
scalability, and security.
• Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to assess the viability and
effectiveness of proposed solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring
adherence to architectural standards, best practices, and coding principles.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to
define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to
continuously enhance technical expertise and propose innovative solutions.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, including client meetings, solution presentations,
and proposal development, to demonstrate technical capabilities and contribute to
business growth

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A
master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or a similar role, designing and
implementing complex software solutions for the manufacturing, automotive, or banking
industry.
• Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of technologies, including but not
limited to cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP), databases, APIs, microservices,
DevOps, security, and data integration.
• Proficiency in architectural design principles, patterns, and methodologies.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and familiarity with tools such as
JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex technical
challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey
complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications are highly desirable.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $108,600 - $186,600.
