Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking an Administrative Specialist to support the COPS division of DOJ in Washington, DC.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Administrative Specialist will work closely with the On-Site Supervisor assisting in daily assignments; tasks shall include writing and editing departmental documents such as program guides and award manuals, program and process fact sheets and/or other published documents. Complete data processing quality checks, and perform and oversee grants administrative tasks (e.g., reviewing agency progress reports and close-out documentation) as required; will perform budget reviews, identify programmatic and compliance issues on various grant reports, and assist with grantee outreach.

The Administrative Specialist must have the ability to:
- Provide callers with a broad array of assistance and information on award programs and other COPS related topics (e.g., provide technical assistance with user passwords).
- Take orders by phone or email for COPS publications, and enter data into Tracks (or other COPS IT Systems).
- Provide assistance with Monitoring site visit reviews and reports; provide assistance with application reviews, review progress and closeout reports and make follow up contacts as needed, provide assistance with award modifications and extensions, assist with grantee outreach providing callers with a broad array of assistance and information on awards and other COPS programs.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Editing and proofreading skills required.
• Knowledge and understanding of administrative support functions.
• Required to be proficient in office products, such as internet/intranet, Word, Excel and PowerPoint for secretarial/word processor/spreadsheet/data base/power point requirements. Must be able to save, retrieve, edit, and present text, spreadsheets and/or charts. Prepares in final format, correspondence, statistical and managerial reports.
• Must be proficient in grammar, spelling and punctuation and is also required to produce printed materials accurately.
• Education - Bachelors highly preferred
• General Experience - 2+ years of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
- 1 year experience that provides the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position to coordinate a wide-variety of clerical duties.

Must be able to successfully pass a CGI Federal background investigation
Must be able to obtain/maintain a DOJ MRPT clearance
Candidates may be required to provide a writing sample.

Hourly wage: $24.69/ hr. (non-negotiable)

The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to: skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certification. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.*
