Position Summary
Works with internal and external partners to promote the mission of the college, foster academic achievement, and provide guidance and support to students in making thoughtful educational choices. Plans, directs, and implements programs designed to improve CNM enrollment, student retention, and success. Responsible for tasks that directly impact enrollment, persistence, retention, and graduation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced academic advisement and coaching for credit and non-credit programs that supports the students academic and financial goals, as well as career exploration by utilizing CNM resources and external community resources.
- May be responsible for training and/or leading and directing the work of other advisors.
- Monitor and document student academic progress and intervention strategies which include tracking students who are at risk or withdraw from classes and targeted outreach to encourage remaining on educational path CNM to promote student retention.
- Prepare reports that track and analyze data related to student registration and graduation outcomes to evaluate advisement strategies; develop and implement new advisement strategies to achieve and improve institutional standards related to enrollment, persistence, retention and graduation.
- Support student satisfaction by engaging students through outreach and surveys and make data driven decision to modify methods of advisement o meet student needs.
- Provide training and workshops related to advisement for internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- Lead on projects, collaboration, and communications with other departments, divisions, and community partners.
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Advisor duties/Advisement initiatives at CNM
