What you will be doing

The primary objective of the Commercial Finance Analyst (CFA) is to support the four strategic areas (Alloga, Alvita, Clinical Trial and Innovation to Market) achieve the growth targets included in our Long Range Plan.

This is a key role that will support a number of commercial activities and initiatives across the above areas including go-to-market activities, business planning, business cases, performance management & reviews, key analysis to support management decisions, coordination and collaboration with other teams to drive performance and growth. It will therefore have day-to-day interaction with commercial colleagues including sales, marketing, sourcing, quality, BI and regulatory teams.

In addition to supporting the growth initiatives, the CFA will provide some support to the Divisional FP&A team, and will be expected to be involved in activities including finance processes, systems and tools innovation, automation and standardisation in order to find news of working and/or improve existing ones to gain efficiency.

The role will sit within the wider Divisional Wholesale Finance team and will work closely with both finance and commercial stakeholders at both Divisional and local (country) level.

Key Responsibilities:

Brands, services & market

  • Understand our brands and services, their core value proposition and forces driving performance in each market.
  • Understand the key revenue streams in each service or brand and the commercial activities that generate those revenues.

Business & financial planning

  • Support financial planning activities including Budgets, Forecasts, LRPs and growth plans.
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of business packs for budgets & LRPs across the growth areas.

Business partnering

  • Work with commercial colleagues on business cases for new product launches, ensuring maximisation of ROI and take a lead on post-investment reviews where necessary.
  • Assist the creation of customer profitability analysis for strategic clients, drawing key insight to support commercial teams maximise business with our customers.
  • Support as well as challenge the business to deliver key sales and profit targets to ensure realisation of growth plans.

Performance management & reviews

  • Lead the preparation of monthly business packs for senior management and become a trusted member in the monthly performance reviews.
  • Draw on your insight and experience to support the Directors & VPs of the growth areas manage performance challenges to deliver growth plans.

Teamwork, innovation & ad hoc

  • Collaborate with central and local teams, demonstrating Cencora values, to build relationships and ensure joint delivery of goals.
  • Understand current finance systems, processes and tools, and actively support innovation and standardisation initiatives to improve ways of working and gain efficiencies.
  • Provide ad hoc support as may be required by Divisional FP&A and senior management to support decisions.

What your background should look like

SPECIFIC SKILLS

  • Able to manage competing demands in a dynamic and fast-paced organisation.
  • Proven experience working effectively with multiple stakeholders at all levels and teams.
  • Ability to challenge the business (including senior stakeholders) with an ambitious mindset and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Able to conceptualise and understand market data, trends and strategic information.
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
