Principal Azure Data Engineers at CDW/DV are smart, hard-working Engineers who enjoy collaborating with other Engineers on highly visible,and technically challenging projects. Key Areas of Responsibility

* Collaborating with Cloud Solution Architects in implementing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure platform. * Review, comment, and provide feedback to pre-sales on Azure data SoWs pending approval for client proposal * Billable consultant directly and indirectly (supporting coworkers) providing complex Azure architecture, cloud native pattern design and cloud engineering solutions to DV clients * Supporting the strategy, planning, and implementation of data design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance, and performing needs assessments. * Developing and maintaining data lake and data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures and relational/non-relational databases for data access and Advanced Analytics. * Must be a Multi-cloud architect with experience in Cloud data architecture, data strategy, Data platform modernization and advanced analytics with AI & ML. * Excitement to work with customers to understand their overall data estate, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions. * Assessing the Customers' knowledge of Azure Data Platform and overall cloud data readiness to support customers through a structured learning plan and ensure its delivery. * Should be able to assist practice heads to get road maps to adhering industry changes and adopting best practices. * Able to lead and set architectural road maps, client discoveries, groom/mentor other resources to fulfill practice future requirements. * Solid knowledge on cloud data platforms such as Azure,AWS and Google. * Can be able to lead platform agnostic projects and delivery.

  • Education and/or Skill-Set Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or Machine Learning.

  • 7+ years of professional consulting experience in business or technology consulting or similar roles.

  • Knowledge and skill level in identified competencies meet minimum requirements for role

  • Previous direct customer consulting experience or equivalent understanding of role responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Data Ingestion and Storage, Preferably in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, SQL Server Azure Data Lake, Cosmos DB

  • Architect data ingestion solutions such as ETL, ELT's on a wide set of data storage solutions.

  • Solid scripting experience with Python, R and T-SQL.

  • Experience on data integrations with API's.

  • Exposure to Azure Functions.

  • Big Data Analytics. Preferably in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, and Snowflake

  • Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Catalog, Master Data Management.

  • Expertise in SQL, DAX languages & Power Query

  • Experience with Power BI governance and security

  • Power BI administration of workspaces, tenant settings, data sources, etc.

  • Configuration of data refreshes, scheduling, and installation of on-premise Power BI Gateway

  • Ability to guide or lead junior resources to get desired project results.

  • Communication is essential, must be able to listen and understand the question and develop and deliver clear insights.

  • Independent and able to manage and prioritize workload.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and positively to change.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and solve undefined problems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or Machine Learning.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Agile and/or Scrum methods of delivery

  • MS Certifications: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Fundamentals
