The Role
CCC is seeking an attorney who will assist in managing and maturing the company-wide compliance program, and monitoring and advising regarding regulatory risks.
The Compliance Counsel plays a crucial role in promoting a culture of compliance within the organization, driving compliance projects to completion, and mitigating legal and regulatory risks. They must possess strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep comprehension of relevant laws and regulations impacting the industry in which they operate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Regulatory and Compliance and working in coordination with Internal Audit and other relevant business units to oversee compliance program, further develop compliance strategies and policies, and drive transformative projects to completion.
- Assist with maturation of compliance control systems to prevent, detect and address violations.
- Assist with regulatory compliance reviews for relevant products and business units.
- Assist in monitoring and testing compliance policies for effectiveness and reviewing said policies for possible risks/liabilities.
- Assist with reporting of compliance risks, activity and any related infractions.
- Foster a "culture of compliance" across all business units.
- Maintain visibility into emerging regulatory issues, including US laws and regulations that may impact CCC.
- Work closely with teams across CCC to conduct investigations and prepare responses to regulatory inquiries.
- Serve as the point of contact for teams across CCC regarding regulatory inquiries and exams.
Requirements:
Necessary Experience:
- Juris Doctorate, preferably from top-tier law school.
- 4-6 years of relevant regulatory, compliance, or analogous experience, preferably relevant law firm experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical partners, with focus on informing, influencing, and relationship building.
- Demonstrated partnering skills, with experience coordinating initiatives with partners in a multinational organization.
