Responsibilities:

  • Serve as product owner for our Data Science mission: prioritizing initiatives, managing the roadmap, leading agile ceremonies, and aligning goals with our overall strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to use data science to serve customers and internal partners, with applications across data acquisition, data extraction, search, recommendations, classification and taxonomy, predictive algorithms, and commercial insights.
  • Understand and evaluate the business value of potential new use cases. Prioritize opportunities based on customer and commercial impact.
  • Mature our AI/ML product development processes, emphasizing alignment with key stakeholders and clarity of decision making.
  • Drive new initiatives from ideation through development, testing, and implementation. 
  • Define and monitor success criteria for each initiative and the broader mission.
  • Translate the impact of technical results to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Advocate for CBI Data Science with the product and engineering organization, other departments, and the broader market. 

Key Competencies:

  • At least 3 years of product management experience, and at least 5 years total professional experience in a big data environment.   
  • Excellent at data analysis; highly proficient with SQL
  • Prior experience in a product or analytical role connected to data science
  • An understanding of artificial intelligence concepts include machine learning and natural language processing
  • Deep user empathy with tools for continuous discovery
  • Rigorous decision quality. Ruthlessly prioritizes opportunities for commercial value. Structured, deductive, and quantitative thinker.
  • Experience defining and realizing developer and user engagement product strategies with clear metrics
  • Entrepreneurial. Has shipped products from ideation through delivery while in rapid growth mode. Strong bias to execution.
  • Effective and compelling communicator, proven with customers and executives
  • Sought after cross-functional partner

Please note this is a US-based role.

In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible for a bonus opportunity.

A little bit about our pay practices: Typically, we will hire at our Hiring Target, but actual starting pay may be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation, candidate experience, and budgetary constraints.
