The Role: 

Carrot Fertility is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team with at least 2 years of accounting experience, particularly in daily transactions and reconciliations. Experience with Netsuite is highly desirable. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall finance function.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Record daily financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. 
  • Assist with the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment processing.
  • Support accounts receivable activities, including customer billing, collections, and cash application.
  • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed to support decision-making.
  • Utilize Netsuite, our accounting software, to manage financial data and generate reports.
  • Maintain organized and well-documented financial records for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in daily financial operations.



The Team: 

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our growing Finance team. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be a vital part of the finance function at Carrot.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, including daily transaction processing and reconciliations.
  • Experience with Netsuite or other accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in employee benefits or medical field
  • Experience working in a high-growth company
  • Experience working with Netsuite

 

Compensation: 

Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The starting base salary for this position will range from $75,000- $100,000. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
