Job Purpose and Impact
The Production Excellence Supervisor will help lead the Blair PE team to maximize production, reduce costs, and develop talent for the business. Some of the specific duties this role will include becoming the Blair stable operations SME, managing the Blair Six Sigma belt program, directly supervising some process engineers, and other Blair PE items as they arise.
Key Accountabilities
• Identify and gather the resources necessary to complete projects.
• Become Blair stable ops SME and manage Blair's six sigma program.
• Help resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
• Monitor progress and performance to meet the project plan goals.
• Help coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, people management and troubleshooting for engineering projects.
• Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Two years of supervisory experience
• Green belt or willingness to earn green belt within 1 year of accepting this role.
