Job Purpose and Impact

The Manager, Application Development- ERP, Operations, CPS job sets goals and objectives for the achievement of operational results for the team that maintains, integrates and implements SAP's S/4 Operations software applications to Cargill's Protein and Salt businesses and functions. This job coordinates the team responsible for software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications.

Essential Functions

  • SAP REQUIREMENTS SOLUTIONING: Capture and analysis of business requirements. Research and provide solution alternatives and implement the preferred recommendations.
  • SAP APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Coordinates and builds application configurations to meet user and business requirements while identifying improvements to complex application support processes and procedures.
  • SAP APPLICATION DEPLOYMENT: Leads the team to perform basic to advanced and complex, configuration, testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
  • USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Acts as key point of contact with users to respond to application support requests and needs and prioritizes enhancements, support User Acceptance Testing and Super User training.
  • APPLICATION SUPPORT: Supervises day to day technical application support activities to deliver on business outcomes.
  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Coaches the team and partners with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers, other workstream leads, project leadership and business partners to ensure configurations align with standards and project goals.
  • APPLICATION PROCESSES & PROCEDURES: Ensures and guides the implementation of improvements for application specific support processes and procedures.
  • TEAM LEADERSHIP: Represent Operations workstream to project leadership, plan workstream staffing and budget.
  • TEAM MANAGEMENT: Manages team members to achieve the organization's goals, by ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable, supporting employee development, recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.

Minimum and Typical Years of Work Experience

Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Highly Preferred: Experience with SAP MII (Manufacturing Integrations and Intelligence) and/or integrations between SAP and external shop floor solutions
  • Highly Preferred: Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and/or SAP DM (Digital Manufacturing)
  • Confirmed stakeholder management, presenting to and influencing executive leaders
  • Confirmed experience working on high-impact global ERP projects, strategic initiatives, and change management initiatives.

Additional Information for Minnesota based appliants

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.

The expected salary for this position is $142,000-170,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
