Job Purpose and Impact

The Originator in the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) will drive business origination for the assigned geography. This person will be responsible for developing financing opportunities through the local capital markets for Cargill's ecosystem of clients and suppliers (from rural producers to medium and large companies), contributing to the growth of both the DCM area and the company's business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with functional and trading teams to develop new low-risk customers in the assigned geography, growing the business to achieve revenue objectives through market and industry research.
  • Develop a deep understanding of all financing structures, including Debt Capital Markets (DCM) solutions, and market these structures to new and existing customers according to their profiles.
  • Identify and develop origination opportunities in partnership with Relationship Managers and Commercial teams across Cargill's business units.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the customer's business strategy and explore new industries related to trade in the assigned geography.
  • Conduct market research and collaborate with internal teams to prospect new clients, segments, and financing structures.
  • Ensure proper understanding and compliance with the Special Operations Group, as well as regulatory and internal governance requirements applicable to origination.
  • Develop and structure complex financing proposals that optimize value for both the customer and the business, addressing key issues, needs, and requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions such as DCM teams and asset managers.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating only the most critical matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Solid knowledge of financing dynamics in Brazil's Debt Capital Markets
  • Relevant prior experience in the field
  • Advanced English
  • CPA-20 certification (preferred)
  • Availability to travel (approximately 25%)
