Sr. Analyst, Capital Markets & Risk - Economic and Managerial Capital Team (EMC

Capital One is seeking a motivated professional for a Senior Analyst position within the Economic and Managerial Capital Team (EMC). The EMC team is responsible for guiding our strategic choices on capital resilience for all of Capital One's business lines, including Card, Auto and Commercial and Retail Bank. The Senior Analyst role will specifically focus on supporting the core capital allocation processes and advisory functions, through automation and visualization. We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined, and analytical professional who excels in a team environment. This associate should have passion in technology and experience in proactively driving work across functions. They should also have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to change quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation and execution of Annual Managerial Capital Budget cycle
  • Managing multiple sources of inputs by working closely with subject matter experts internal and external to the immediate team
  • Automate and enhance the process and data infrastructure
  • Leverage technology to drive data, process and analytics automation initiatives
  • Manage and execute ad hoc requests/inquiries from senior management and capital advisors
  • Evaluate new regulatory changes and their impact on Capital framework, then incorporate those changes into the process

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Operations, Reporting, Risk Management, or technology projects or a combination
  • At least 2 year's experience in at least one scripting language such as Python, SQL, ect.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Experience with executing and enhancing large-scalar business processes
  • Experience working with Tableau, or other data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of dataset management best practice
